Since beginning our work together 10 years ago, thousands of Texans have participated in our advocacy training events, citizen lobby days, and cannabis policy conferences. With support from our allies, we’ve hosted legislative briefings, educational exhibits, and press conferences at the Texas Capitol. Leaders in our coalition have been featured in hundreds of media interviews, educating the public and bolstering statewide support for marijuana law reform. This public pressure has led to a significant reduction in marijuana-related arrests, saving law enforcement agencies millions of dollars and redirecting their focus to real crime.
There are now thousands of legal cannabis businesses in our state and through the passion of our grassroots movement, we’ve helped to expand the Texas Compassionate Use Program, bringing safe and legal access for patients in need. While there is much more work to be done, we are incredibly proud of what we’ve been able to accomplish together.
